Edina, Revisited Late March 2016

I have always been impressed by the architecture of the “double square” in Edina, lined with some of the best ornamentation and form in Missouri. Ironically, I have photographs from 2012 that I may post in the future, but here is from late March 2016.

The west wall of the square is anchored by the two buildings above, while other storefronts, such as the one below which has lost its later Streamline tiles, which were present in 2008.

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church dominates the north side of town, with a parsonage and school building. It can be seen from throughout the area. Edina, like other county seats such as Milan or Memphis, sits high on top of a plateau.
